Numpad4, however, "blinks" the shift on and off on the first press and hold, and then shift stays stuck until real shift is pressed on the second press of Numpad4. Thus Ctrl+0 (via keypad) is always associated with Text Body without the need to press (or not) the Shift key on the main section of the keyboard. The numeric keypad can be used to alleviate the variation in national keyboards where the digits may require the use of the Shift key. Numpad5 and Numpad6 work fine as Control and Alt - pressing and holding the keypad keys like they were the actual modifier keys works fine. Tools>Customize allows to define keyboard shortcuts.
